Keewatin Dewdney
BiographyCurrently a Professor Emeritus at Western University, Dewdney made a total of four experimental films over his short film career. Three of those films, Scissors, Four Girls, and Maltese Cross Movement, were all made in 1967 when Dewdney was a graduate student of mathematics at the University of Michigan. Maltese Cross Movement won the Canadian Artists ‘68 Exhibition in the non-narrative film category, and in 1968 he returned to Ontario where he would later make his last film Wildwood Flower in 1973.
