Rick Hancox
BiographyAfter spending most of 1967 in Montreal working as a taxi driver, Hancox was inspired to purchase an 8mm film camera after reading about the American Underground in the book Introduction to the American Underground Film by Sheldon Renan. In 1968 Hancox enrolled at the Prince of Wales University which, in it’s first year as a university, brought in a steady stream of film lecturers who focused on the New York scene that Hancox had been reading about. He would later attend graduate school at NYU and Ohio University .
